Mr. Henry Spann, Jr., was born to the parentage of Rev. Henry Spann. Sr. and Mrs. Julia Tarver Spann on September 16, 1935.
Henry, Jr. was a member of the Pineola Church of God in Wadley, Georgia from an early age. He was a retired bus driver from the Jefferson County Public School System.
The family fondly remembers Henry, Jr's love for driving. They recall his farming and driving the tractor for many years. Henry also took pride in his career as a school bus driver. When Henry was not driving, he spent his pastime fishing.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry, Sr. and Julia Spann and his siblings, Catherine Swinney, Louise Lovett, Rosetta James, Willie J. Spann and Hattie Elmore.
On Thursday, April 2, 2020, Henry Spann, Jr. entered into eternal rest at the Comfort Creek Nursing Facility in Wadley, Jefferson County Georgia.
His memory will forever live in the heart of his wife, Collia Owens Spann, Wadley, Georgia; three sisters, Annie Dorothy Smyth, Peekskill, New York, Carolyn S. Gamble, Jacksonville, Florida and Lessie Spann, Boston, Massachusetts; two brothers, Booker T. (Mary) Spann and Jasper (Mary Alice) Spann, Brooklyn, New York; a wonderfully devoted niece and nephew, Debra (Arthur Lee) Daniels, Wadley, Georgia and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
